Language Stimulation Workshop Educator (Ages 3-5 or 6-12)

Responsibilities:
- Lead a group of children with language (DLD/dysphasia), developmental, and learning challenges aged 3-5 or 6-12.
- Support colleagues during large group activities.
- Design and conduct learning workshops tailored to the developmental needs of the children.
- Organize and present an artistic project (songs for ages 3-5 or a play for ages 6-12), including costume creation, set design, and text/song adjustments in collaboration with the children.
- Provide written assessments for selected children at the end of the session.

Teen Group Educator (Ages 12-17)

Responsibilities:
- Create and facilitate workshops based on the group’s needs and interests (e.g., anxiety management, budgeting, social media, social rules).
- Accompany the group on outings, helping with public transportation, budgeting, understanding instructions, and appropriate social behavior.
- Oversee and present a group project at the end of the session.

Adult Group Facilitator

Responsibilities:
- Encourage and participate in verbal exchanges within the group.
- Provide support during payment transactions.
- Assist adults in various environments based on their specific needs.
- Actively participate in activities as a role model.
- Regularly provide updates to group supervisors.

Volunteering is at the heart of what we do, and we’re always in need of dedicated individuals to help make a difference.

Have a unique skill to share? Let us know! From small contributions to larger commitments, every effort helps us create a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. Here are some ways you can get involved:

  • Assist teens or adults during outings.

  • Provide support during special activities, events, or fundraising initiatives.

  • Help with housekeeping tasks.

  • Create an inventory or visual catalog of educational materials.

  • Repair materials such as games and toys.

  • Support children aged 3 to 12 with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) during Saturday activities (always under the supervision of educators).

  • Promote awareness of DLD in various settings, such as running a booth at a school.

  • Offer assistance during Quebec's Developmental Language Disorder and Verbal Dyspraxia Week (October 10–17).

  • Join the Board of Directors for a two-year term.
