This language disorder has changed names several times.Since 2017, the term used is Developmental Language Disorder. It can also be called DLD.
Who are we?
Dysphasie+ Association is a non-profit organization.
The organization supports people who have Developmental Language Disorder (DLD – Dysphasia).
The goal of Dysphasie+ Association is for DLD to be better known. Dysphasie+ wants every person to have access to the right services, regardless of their age or the severity of their difficulties.
The organization offers services in Laval and Montreal.

Careers
Dysphasie+ Association is hiring for the fall 2026 session. Three positions are open with our children, teen and adult groups, in Laval and Montreal. Professional academic support worker, “Envol scolaire TDL” program
Plan and lead academic support sessions for one elementary group and one high school group. The program goes well beyond homework help: it builds autonomy, work methods, understanding of instructions and learning strategies for young people with DLD. A completed university degree in special education, remedial education, psychoeducation, teaching or speech-language pathology is required.
Social worker, adult group
Support our adult members in their participation in association life and in developing their autonomy: keep in touch between activities, welcome new members, help create workshops and refer them to the right resources in the network. Training in intervention, special education, social work or equivalent experience is sought. Availability on Friday evenings and Sundays is essential to the role.
Social worker, children’s group (ages 3 to 5)
Support our group of children aged three to five throughout the day of activities: ensure the safety and well-being of the group, lead age-appropriate activities that foster language development and social skills, and welcome new families. Training in intervention, special education, early childhood education or equivalent experience is sought. Availability on Saturdays is essential to the role.
